I bought the Native M1 after a lot of research. At first I was confused why they don’t offer MTDS like other brands but after watching a video on youtube it was honestly eye-opening. MTDS increases TDS by mixing impure (non-RO) water back into purified RO water, which completely defeats the purpose of RO. They add UF only to support that process, and UF can’t remove heavy metals or microplastics so it’s actually risky. The biggest learning for me was that TDS level has nothing to do with purity or minerals. TDS only shows the quantity and not type of contaminants. So I’m happy the M1 gives 100% RO water with no mixing. The minerals are added back in the water through the post-filter. Gives peace of mind without all the confusion around MTDS. Really satisfied with the purchase.

    I don’t usually write long reviews, but this purifier genuinely deserves one. After using the UC M1 for a bit, I can safely say it’s one of the better buys we’ve made for the house.

    Purification & taste:
    The 10 stage filtration actually makes a noticeable difference. The water tastes clean and fresh rather than flat or metallic like some other ROs. I also like that it adds back essential minerals and keeps the alkaline balance right. Urban company has mentioned their lab test results and purity levels, and going by the taste and clarity, it definitely feels like the purifier is doing its job well.

    Filter Life & Savings:
    One thing I absolutely appreciate is the 2 year filter life. The projected long term cost savings because of the smart rinse technology is quite high and if it lasts as promised that alone makes the M1 worth it. It’s a bonus that it’s likely to require less servicing.

    UV Safety:
    The in tank UV is another quiet hero. Knowing that the water in the tank is constantly kept germ free gives a lot of peace of mind.

    Warranty & Support:
    The 2-year unconditional warranty is also a big plus. No hidden terms and no filter/membrane exclusions. It covers everything. Managing service through the urban company app is actually very convenient because you don’t have to chase anyone.

    Installation:
    Installation was smooth. The technician explained everything clearly. Depending on if you stay in a building with very high or very low water pressure, they might ask for an extra valve/kit (mine didn’t need one) but it’s not expensive.

    Storage:
    The 8-liter tank is perfect for a family. The water stays tasting fresh even if it sits in the tank for a few hours, thanks to the UV and food-grade material.

    If you’re looking for a purifier that’s easy to maintain, gives consistently good water, and doesn’t surprise you with hidden costs later then the M1 is a solid choice. It’s modern and reliable and genuinely feels like a step up from the usual ROs.

    This RO has turned out to be a genuinely solid upgrade for my home. The biggest reason I chose the M1 is the 2 year unconditional warranty. There is no fine print and every filter, membrane and electrical part is covered in it. It has a 2 year filter life so there should be no servicing headaches for a long time. People in my family who bought the M series earlier have had no issues so far. This gave me a lot of confidence. It’s also such a relief to not deal with constant marketing calls or unexpected AMC charges like with my older RO.

    Design wise the M1 looks great. It doesn’t have the bulky RO look at all and blends in nicely with the kitchen. The 8-liter tank is more than enough for daily usage. Totally worth the purchase for me.

    Over the last few days the water quality has been consistently clean and light. A TDS meter comes with the purchase so we keep monitoring the water quality. Our source water TDS usually keeps fluctuating but the output TDS has stayed steady which is reassuring.

    What stood out to me is the complete clarity around maintenance. The 2-year unconditional warranty removes all the usual uncertainty that comes with buying a RO. There’s no mental checklist of “What if this part fails?” or “Will they charge for that?” It’s refreshing to not have to think about any of it. This is the first time I’ve felt relaxed about long-term upkeep of a RO.

    So far there’s been absolutely no drama with this purifier and based on the experience till now and the 2 year warranty I don’t expect surprises later either. If you want reliable drinking water without the usual RO stress, this is a solid pick.
